Mistborn: The Well of Ascension. Reviewed.

Mistborn Series: The Well of Ascension Review
By Daniel Shultz

Well of Ascension is the second book in the Mistborn trilogy by Brandon Sanderson.  First published in 2007, the plot is as follows: Our bands of heroes (those who are left) are now in charge of what was the capital of the Final Empire, armies are outside the gates, and the ever present Mists seem to be changing and becoming genuinely dangerous.

Mistborn: The Final Empire. Reviewed

Mistborn: The Final Empire

Mistborn: The Final Empire is the first book in Brandon Sanderson’s Mistborn trilogy, it was first published by Tor Books in 2006. I finished reading it a week ago and the characters and themes still linger in my mind.  The plot can be summed up in one sentence: A group of thieves plan a heist against the Dark Ruler of their land, hoping to cause his downfall.

John Carter

John Carter is the best Star Wars movie since Return of the Jedi. Of course it’s not literally a Star Wars movie, but I dislike the term “Science Fantasy” and so Star Wars will have to satisfy my eccentricities in this matter. John Carter is based on the book “Princess of Mars” by Edgar Rice Burroughs, the first in his Barsoom novels. It concerns the former confederate soldier, the titular John Carter, and his adventures on Mars called Barsoom in the Martian tongue, or should I say Barsoomian?
